Frequent questions

What power supply should I use?

Electric 3F + N at 220v or 400v

How many pizzas does it cook at the same time?

Depending on the model, the cooking chamber comfortably accommodates:

• SCN-9 → 9 units
• SCN-6 → 6 units
• SCN-4 → 4 units

We mean pizzas Ø 33 cm.

Can I use it only for pizza?

No, by setting different temperatures and different sky / soil adjustments you can use it for any kind of preparation. Including bread, biscuits and sweets.

Can I use it to prepare the "authentic Neapolitan pizza"?

Yes, the Scugnizzonapoletano is the only electric oven in the world to guarantee average temperatures that conform to the characteristics of the wood-fired oven during the baking of the pizza.

In June 2020 the AVPN, True Neapolitan Pizza Association, equated the Scugnizzonapoletano with a traditional wood oven.

Does it really work without a dedicated flue?

It does not require a dedicated flue, as for a wood oven.

We recommend using it under an extractor hood to absorb odors, steam and any fumes caused by the accidental combustion of ingredients.

Another solution is to place a pipe in continuity with the exit hole which is on the top of the oven.

What temperatures does it reach?

Scugnizzonapoletano works between 440 – 460 ° C with its mouth open, but it can rise well beyond.

At an average temperature of 440 ° C, the pizza bakes in about 60 seconds.

We recommend that you follow the instructions of the recipe for the True Neapolitan Pizza.

How much does it consume?

It consumes as much and even less than a wood oven, in terms of operating costs. You can consult the data sheets for more detailed information on absorption in Kw.

Have you heard of those electric ovens that exceed 500 ° C?

Oh Yes, at those temperatures it is only possible to get excellent charred pizzas.

Maybe that value refers to the heat source, rather than the actual average temperature in the chamber?

Where can I use it?

You can use it in compliance with the regulations even in areas where wood or gas ovens are prohibited.

Its ease of movement makes it usable anywhere.

Can I use it immediately?

Yes, Scugnizzonapoletano is ready for immediate use.

Each oven that is being shipped has already passed a tough test at our factory.

The stress test lasts about 12 hours:

• 2 hours at 90 ° C
• 4 hours at 480 ° C

The tests are conducted with the oven mouth open.

How long does it take to be fully operational?

In just over two hours using the residual heat of the previous work session, since most of the heat is conserved thanks to the thermal insulation system.

In less than 4 hours for cold starts

What are the dimensions? How much does it weight? How big is the cooking chamber?

It depends on the model.

For this information please kindly consult the technical data sheets.

How many consecutive hours can it work?

The only limit is the endurance of the pizza maker: the oven does not need to sleep.

Is it easy to install?

Yes, it can be disassembled and assembled even in critical situations and with little space. Even for the SCN-9 only 79 cm is sufficient.

I want it. How much?

It costs much less than what it will earn you in a very short time.

All in all, less than a wood oven. No chimney, nothing for the soot eliminator, nothing for cleaning the latter.
